One of the most popular New Year resolutions is to travel more, but for pet owners this may not be so easy, especially if you are planning a longer trip.
With that in mind, Taxi2airport.com sought to find out the best locations in Europe when it comes to catering for pets, as well as their owners.

It researched Booking.com and found that Italy is way out in front for accepting pets, but if you are looking for 5 star treatment then you don’t have to look any further than the UK and France.
Which countries have the highest number of pet-friendly hotels?
Italy came out on top by a mile with 18,176 pet-friendly hotels available at the time of the research, with the UK trailing in with a rather miserable 2,690 options.
Where should you travel to for a 5-star experience for you and your pet?
For a luxurious experience, France topped the league with 217 hotels, with the UK runners-up on 166.
