Tamarind, the beachfront-resort on the beautiful Platinum West Coast of Barbados, opened in October having been converted into a premium all-inclusive resort.
The Bajan family favourite has been transformed into one of the island’s finest all-inclusive hotels, focusing on high-quality cuisine and family soft adventure.
The property, owned by Elegant Hotels, is a great option for colourful, beachfront luxury. Blending Mediterranean and Caribbean style, Tamarind offers 101 spacious hotel rooms and suites, each with a balcony or patio overlooking the oceanfront or tropical gardens.
The resort caters for couples and families, with a separate adult-only section, offering peace and tranquillity to couples and adult travellers.
Families can enjoy the Club Tamarind family lounge, as well as Flying Fish Kids Club and the array of complimentary water sports which are available across all Elegant Hotels properties.

Tamarind has bolstered its family offering during the transformation, enriching its entertainment, activities and kids’ programmes, while extending the hours of the already popular Flying Fish Kids Club.

The resort has a strong focus on outdoor and local educational activities, to get kids and teens outside and active on their holiday. A big focus for the older children and teens will be on the already popular Aqua School, offering instructional snorkelling, water skiing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding lessons.
