Soaring to new heights … this Four Seasons skyscraper hotel gives a futuristic twist to historic Boston

The Back Bay neighbourhood is where Boston’s past, present and future come together, with something new to experience at every turn. Hardly surprising then that Four Seasons chose the location for its newly-opened glass skyscraper, Hotel One Dalton Street.

Soaring to 725 ft, the city’s third tallest building, along with its highest residences, is surrounded by luxury shopping, major businesses and world class art and music venues.

It is also just steps from myriad city parks and leafy green spaces – and all just 15 minutes from Logan International Airport.

“Our second location in Boston is truly a jewel in the Four Seasons portfolio, with its striking architecture, modern interiors and world class amenities setting the stage for a fully customised experience,” says Christian Clerc, President, Worldwide Hotel Operations, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

“Each and every detail has been thoughtfully curated, designed to ensure guests enjoy the highest standards of quality and the most genuine and personal service – the markers of a Four Seasons experience the world over.”

Designed by Henry Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in collaboration with Gary Johnson of Cambridge Seven Associates, the elliptical “guitar pick” shaped building is surrounded by streetscapes by landscape architect Michael Van Valkenburgh.

Bill Rooney of Bill Rooney Studio was commissioned to drive the design aesthetic of the hotel’s public spaces and guest rooms.

Commenting on the Hotel’s central location, General Manager Reed Kandalaft enthuses: “In a city of so many historic treasures, it’s exciting to see the future emerging quite literally in new buildings like One Dalton Street.”

Dining at One Dalton Street also reaches fresh heights, with global dining sensation Zuma providing as much a feast for the eyes as the menu is for the palate with three open kitchens: the main kitchen, sushi counter and robata grill.

Leading the culinary team in collaboration with Corporate Executive Chef Oliver Lange is Chef Helmy Saadon, who comes to Boston by way of Zuma locations in Dubai, New York and Abu Dhabi.

The culinary team, led by Oliver Lange, takes particular advantage of the Atlantic Ocean’s bounty, while Zuma’s bar features more than 70 different sakes.

Also located on the second floor is One + One with its floor-to-ceiling windows, an ideal place to start the day tucking into fresh and healthy favourites such as the strawberries and cream muesli and just-pressed juice.

The restaurant is also open for lunch, a welcome respite from a busy day of working, shopping or gallery hopping.

As always, Four Seasons also offers a comprehensive 24-hour in-room dining menu for private meals or intimate entertaining.

Spanning the entire 7th floor of Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, and boasting inspiring city views from its pool and workout areas, The Wellness Floor is a refuge from busy urban life welcoming hotel guests, Four Seasons residents and day visitors.
