Re-born Cora Hotel in Halkidiki, birthplace of Aristotle, offers a sanctuary of Greek tranquillity

Cora Hotel & Spa is aiming to reposition itself as one of Halkidiki’s most desirable properties when it reopens its doors on 1 May following a total refurbishment.

Featuring 181 bedrooms and suites, two outdoor pools, a secluded private beach and a spa centre, the hotel aims to provide a sanctuary of tranquillity for those looking for a rejuvenating escape on the North Greece coastline.

Rooted in the birthplace of the ancient philosopher Aristotle, the new property pays homage to his ground-breaking contributions which form the core of a significant portion of philosophy and science. Hence the name Cora.

Cora Hotel Haldiki

Perched atop a hill overlooking silky sand beaches and clear turquoise sea waters, the Cora is located just moments away from the picturesque village of Afitos – and a mere 40 minutes’ drive from Thessaloniki International Airport, the main gateway for UK travellers.

The property is surrounded by lush landscapes and crystalline waters and offers stunning views overlooking the Kassandra Gulf.

Its bedrooms and suites enjoy balconies or terraces, split into two distinct areas: one catering for adults and another for families (with children over 12 years old). Some feature private pools and others have shared pools with sea or forest views.

There are four dining options and three bars. The main buffet restaurant offers both modern Mediterranean and Greek dishes; a Greek Tavern serving modern Japanese with a Mediterranean twist; an Italian restaurant; and a Food Truck offering cocktails and refreshments.

The spa stands as a sanctuary of tranquillity and rejuvenation, promising an exceptional experience, with its own garden and exceptional sea views. It features a sauna, hammam (Turkish bath), three treatment rooms and a pool bathed in natural light.

The property also offers a state-of-the-art gym and a wide range of other sporting activities.
