Hotels of America – Day 6
From glamping in the Catskills, to songwriting in Nashville, a culinary hotel in Washington D.C. and an authentic Seattle hideaway, to the good old fashioned bright lights of New York City – some hotels step outside of the norm for American vacationing.
Throughout this week HotelView has been highlighting properties that might grab your attention when making your holiday plans.
Today we complete our series with another New York hotel, the Dream Downtown
The first address in the Dream Hotels portfolio, Dream Midtown, top of page, evokes a vibrant energy in the Midtown neighbourhood, recently emerging from a floor-to-ceiling renovation that included a redesign of the lobby, guest rooms and suites.
The restored 1895 Beaux-Arts flatiron building bustles with entertainment, nightlife and dining options, in partnership with TAO Strategic Group, including craft cocktail bar ; multi-level rooftop lounge PH-D Terrace; and the Fish Bowl underground bar and play lounge.

And there’s also the Serafina, a Fellini-inspired restaurant serving homemade pasta. The famed Italian’s movies are even projected on a wall.
The the 220-room hotel captures the spirited imagination of international travellers with a unique design narrative and philosophy of fantasy escapism, at once surreal and contemporarily chic.
There’s an exotic two-storey aquarium, artwork that covers vaulted ceilings, and dramatic pops of colour with stainless steel accents.
Like its sister hotel, Dream Downtown, Midtown is also well located, just a short walk to many iconic NYC attractions including Central Park, Columbus Circle, Times Square, the Theater District and more.
Summer rates start at $225.
