Stress-busting at its best as Royal Nuad Thai wellness sanctuary makes its debut at the Royal Lancaster London

The newly opened Royal Nuad Thai wellness sanctuary at the luxury 5* Royal Lancaster London offers guests and visitors alike the chance to rejuvenate in a place of serenity.

This little oasis, hidden away on the third floor of the hotel, claims to be the most authentic experience of a Thai spa treatment outside of Thailand, with three fully equipped treatment rooms, each with shower and bathroom, aptly named after Thai flowers Lotus, Jasmine and Hibiscus.

Ahead of any treatment, guests receive a traditional foot ritual of scented warm water and a natural foot scrub, and all treatments are finished with a session in the relaxation room, including a warming cup of lemongrass water to help flush toxins.

In true Thai tradition, this relaxing space, open every day to guests and visitors from 10am to 8pm, offers a holistic treatment menu featuring a curated collection of massage and beauty treatments.

Royal Nuad Thai

The Royal Nuad Thai offers a truly authentic experience of a Thai spa treatment

Massages are performed by expertly trained masseuses and offer an energising yet rejuvenating experience. With a combination of massage, stretching and assisted yoga postures, guests are led through a series of movements to ensure the ultimate feeling of relaxation.

From the plush white robes and slippers, to the heated treatment beds and full private bathroom facilities in the treatment room, guests will feel cocooned and cosseted in the serene surroundings of this renowned hotel.

Signature treatments

  • The traditional ‘Nuad Thai’ or ‘Thai yoga’ massage helps balance energy and harmony within the body through a combination of assisted yoga postures and gentle stretches. No oil is required, instead the therapist uses their hands, knees and feet to manipulate the body into different positions; loosening muscles, alleviating joints and improving mobility.
  • The full body Thai oil massage uses warm essential oils and smooth flowing massage strokes to dissolve toxins, boost your immune system and help you feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
  • The signature massage is the ultimate combination of Thai yoga followed by a hot oil massage, promising the best of both worlds. A sequence of manipulated movements inspired by yogic stretching will help relieve aching muscles and stiff joints, ending with a relaxing massage to help aid stress levels and improve tension.
  • A hot herb-infused compress ball is pressed over the entire body; relaxing muscles and relieving stress, promoting blood circulation and stimulating the lymphatic system to help release toxins. Includes a 45 minute hot oil massage followed by 15 minutes of herbal compress.

Royal Lancaster London is an independent hotel overlooking Hyde Park, privately owned by Thai hoteliers, the Sihanatkathakul family, who bought it in 1994.

The hotel offers guests 411 rooms spread across 18 floors, one of the finest Thai restaurants in the city and some of London’s most impressive suites.
