New research shows that party paradise island Ibiza is the most Instagrammable destination for hens.
The sun-soaked resort is famous for world class nightlife and big-name DJs, but its stunning scenery also makes it a massive hit on social media for brides-to-be.
The results are part of new research which reveals Ibiza as the location with the most hen-related hashtags on Insta.
The Balaeric island came out on top with 6,431 hen-related hashtags, followed by the less exotic, but always exciting London on 2,623, while Bali, in Indonesia, was rated third with 1,961 hashtags.
The analysis was conducted by hen and stag party experts Red7 who report a rise in hen party bookings for warmer climes each winter.
Sarah Chapman, head of Hen, Stag and Sten at Red7 said: “If you’re after a memorable hen party filled with exciting photos which bring back great memories, then Ibiza is a run-away winner according to our research. It had more than twice as many hashtags than any other destination.
“It just goes to show that many people these days are not just thinking about how to have a good time on a hen party, they also want to upload the kind of photos on Insta which show the world how amazing it was. Ibiza has a wonderful mix of fun, sun and scenery which makes it perfect for iconic pictures.”
To conduct the research, Red7 searched for hen-party terms coupled with each destination, such as #Londonhen, #Londonhenweekend and #Londonhenparty. A total of 40 worldwide destinations were analysed overall, with figures collected and compiled to find the ultimate Instagrammable hen location.
The top five Instagrammable hen destinations
Ibiza – 6,431 hashtags
London – 2,623
Bali – 1,961
Liverpool – 1,615
Brighton – 1,460
Although Ibiza was the most hashtagged destination in relation to hen parties, when searching for tags without any hen-related terms London came out on top with 109,712,393 hashtags.
Ibiza was also the most popular destination for the hashtag “stag”, showing the island’s universal appeal for pre-marital partying.
